Meet Baker Maurizio

His Inspiration

Baker Maurizio has been a professional chef for 40 years, growing up in the beautiful coastline of the Italian Riviera. He was raised in a family of fishermen and restaurateurs.

Growing up in a family with a restaurant owner father and a professional fisherman grandfather, he was always surrounded by incredible food, but he gives credit to his grandmother’s homemade cooking and especially her fresh bread baked in her wood brick oven. The fresh tagliatelle with tomatoes was the real starting point of his culinary journey.

Why Bread?

After finishing school, he turned cooking into a passion and a career, and he traveled to gain experience at the top restaurant in Europe.

Now he has relocated to Arizona where his wife's family have been based for almost a decade. The passion that he has for cooking is the result of his “U’Pan Brado” micro-bakery in the heart of Prescott Valley. He believes in simple, beautiful baking and he is proud to be able to deliver it direct to your front door.
